All foreign visitors from countries prone to specific illnesses may be required to produce proof of vaccination prior to entering the country.  In particular, those from countries prone to yellow fever who wish to enter or leave Malaysia are required to be vaccinated and to produce the vaccination certificate at the respective entry points.  Quarantine will be imposed on those who fail to produce the vaccination certificate.

In addition, foreign citizens who enter this country for work are required to undergo medical examination.
