List of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong

The present Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah of Terengganu is the thirteenth ruler of Malaysia. He was formally enthroned 26 April 2007.

Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin was born on 22 January 1962 at Istana Al-Muktafi in Kuala Terengganu. His Majesty became the youngest Malay ruler when he acceded to the Terengganu throne at the age of 36 in 1998. He was crowned the Sultan of Terengganu on 15 May 1998. He was the Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 26 April 1999 till he was elected Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

On 28 March 1996, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin married Sultanah Nur Zahirah, who is now the Raja Permaisuri Agong, or Queen.
