The Human Resource Development Fund was set up by the government to enhance the quality of the Malaysian workforce. In the quest to attain the status of a developed country by the year 2020, greater emphasis is given to retraining and upgrading the skills of employees in various sectors.

Employers who develop Vocational Skills Training Schemes are required to apply to the National Vocational Training Council for accreditation of their respective courses.

There are also a number of government and private training facilities available. These include the universities listed in the "Education" section. Below are more links to information on training facilities.
