Discount House

The operations of a discount house includes the business of receiving and utilising deposits and other funds for investment purposes.  Investments are made in Malaysian Government securities, Treasury bills or other instruments as may be prescribed by Bank Negara Malaysia.

Effective October 1989, discount houses’ operations in Malaysia fall under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act 1989
